WARNINGS
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, only use this medicine on the adviceof your health care provider hooked on nicorette. Smoking can seriously harm your child hooked on nicorette. Try tostop smoking without using any nicotine replacement medicine hooked on nicorette. This medicineis believed to be safer than smoking hooked on nicorette. However, the risks to your child fromthis medicine are not fully known hooked on nicorette.

if you continue to smoke, chew tobacco, use snuff, or use a nicotine patch orother nicotine containing products
ASK YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE USE IF YOU HAVE
heart disease, recent heart attack, or irregular heartbeat hooked on nicorette. Nicotine can increaseyour heart rate hooked on nicorette.
high blood pressure not controlled with medication hooked on nicorette. Nicotine can increase bloodpressure hooked on nicorette.
stomach ulcer or diabetes
ASK A DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST BEFORE USE IF YOU ARE
using a non-nicotine stop smoking drug
taking prescription medicine for depression or asthma hooked on nicorette. Your prescription dosemay need to be adjusted hooked on nicorette.
STOP USE AND ASK A DOCTOR IF
mouth, teeth or jaw problems occur
irregular heartbeat or palpitations occur
you get symptoms of nicotine overdose such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea,weakness and rapid heartbeat hooked on nicorette.

Keep out of reach of children and pets hooked on nicorette. Pieces of nicotine gum may have enoughnicotine to make children and pets sick hooked on nicorette. Wrap used pieces of gum in paper andthrow away in the trash hooked on nicorette. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact aPoison Control Center right away hooked on nicorette.

DIRECTIONS

if you are under 18 years of age, ask doctor before use
before using this product, read the enclosed User's Guide for complete directionsand other important information
stop smoking completely when you begin using the gum
if you smoke 25 or more cigarettes a day; use 4 mg nicotine gum
if you smoke less than 25 cigarettes a day; use 2 mg nicotine gum

Use according to the following 12 week schedule:

nicotine gum is a medicine and must be used a certain way to get the best results
chew the gum slowly until it tingles hooked on nicorette. Then park it between your cheek &gum hooked on nicorette. When the tingle is gone, begin chewing again, until the tingle returns hooked on nicorette.
repeat this process until most of the tingle is gone (about 30 minutes)
do not eat or drink for 15 minutes before chewing the nicotine gum, or whilechewing a piece
to improve your chances of quitting, use at least 9 pieces per day for the first6 weeks
if you experience strong or frequent cravings, you may use a second piece withinthe hour hooked on nicorette. However, do not continuously use one piece after another since thismay cause you hiccups, heartburn, nausea or other side effects hooked on nicorette.
do not use more than 24 pieces a day
stop using the nicotine gum at the end of week 12 hooked on nicorette. If you still feel the needfor nicotine gum, talk to your doctor hooked on nicorette.

TO INCREASE YOUR SUCCESS IN QUITTING:

You must be motivated to quit hooked on nicorette.
Use Enough --Chew at least 9 pieces of Nicorette per day during the first sixweeks hooked on nicorette.
Use long enough --Use Nicorette for the full 12 weeks hooked on nicorette.
