What is the most important information I should know about Nexium?
• Do not stop taking Nexium even if you begin to feel better nexium zoloft. Your symptomsmay improve before the condition is fully treated nexium zoloft.

What is Nexium?
• Nexium decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach nexium zoloft.
• Nexium is used to treat ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERDor heartburn), erosive esophagitis, and other conditions involving excessivestomach acid production nexium zoloft.
• Nexium may also be used for purposes other than those listed in thismedication guide nexium zoloft.
Who should not take Nexium?
• Before taking Nexium, tell your doctor if you have ever had any typeof liver disease nexium zoloft. You may not be able to take Nexium, or you may require a dosageadjustment or special monitoring nexium zoloft.
• Nexium is in the FDA pregnancy category B nexium zoloft. This means that it is unlikelyto harm an unborn baby nexium zoloft. Do not take Nexium without first talking to your doctorif you are pregnant nexium zoloft.
• It is not known whether Nexium passes into breast milk nexium zoloft. Do not take Nexiumwithout first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby nexium zoloft.
How should I take Nexium?
• Take Nexium exactly as directed by your doctor nexium zoloft. If you do not understandthese instructions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them toyou nexium zoloft.
• Take each dose with a full glass (8 ounces) of water nexium zoloft.
• Nexium should be taken at least one hour before a meal nexium zoloft. Follow your doctor'sinstructions nexium zoloft.
• Do not break or chew the capsules nexium zoloft. Swallow them whole nexium zoloft. They are speciallyformulated to release slowly in the body nexium zoloft.
• If you have difficulty swallowing the capsules, one tablespoon of applesaucecan be added to an empty bowl and the Nexium capsule can be opened, and thepellets inside the capsule carefully emptied onto the applesauce nexium zoloft. The pelletsshould be mixed with the applesauce and then swallowed immediately nexium zoloft. The applesauceshould not be hot and should be soft enough to be swallowed without chewing nexium zoloft. The pellets should not be chewed or crushed nexium zoloft. The pellet/applesauce mixture shouldnot be stored for later use nexium zoloft.
• Do not stop taking Nexium even if you begin to feel better nexium zoloft. Your symptomsmay improve before the condition is fully treated nexium zoloft.
• Store Nexium at room temperature away from moisture and heat nexium zoloft.
What happens if I miss a dose?
• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember nexium zoloft. However, if it is almosttime for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take only your next regularlyscheduled dose nexium zoloft. Do not take a double dose of this medication unless otherwisedirected by your doctor nexium zoloft.
What happens if I overdose?
• Seek emergency medical attention nexium zoloft.
• Symptoms of an Nexium overdose include drowsiness, shortness of breath,tremor, loss of coordination, and seizures nexium zoloft.
What should I avoid while taking Nexium?
• There are no restrictions on food, beverages, or activities while takingNexium, unless otherwise directed by your doctor nexium zoloft.
What are the possible side effects of Nexium?
• If you experience an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closingof your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives), stop takingNexium and seek emergency medical attention nexium zoloft.
• Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur nexium zoloft. Continueto take Nexium and talk to your doctor if you experience
· headache;
· diarrhea;
· nausea, flatulence, abdominal pain, or constipation; or
· dry mouth nexium zoloft.
• Side effects other than those listed here may also occur nexium zoloft. Talk to yourdoctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome nexium zoloft.
What other drugs will affect Nexium?
• Before taking Nexium, tell your doctor if you are taking any of the followingmedicines:
· digoxin (Lanoxin, Lanoxicaps);
· itraconazole (Sporanox) or ketoconazole (Nizoral); or
· iron (Feosol, Mol-Iron, Fergon, Femiron, others) nexium zoloft.
• You may not be able to take Nexium, or you may require a dosage adjustmentor special monitoring if you are taking any of the medicines listed above nexium zoloft.
• Drugs other than those listed here may also interact with Nexium nexium zoloft. Talkto your doctor and pharmacist before taking any prescription or over-the-countermedicines nexium zoloft.
