What is the most important information I should know about Nasonex nasal?
• Do not use more of this medication than is prescribed for you nasonex and sleeplessness. Too muchmay cause serious side effects nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Use Nasonex nasal on a regular basis for best results nasonex and sleeplessness. It may take severalweeks to get the maximum effect of this medication nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Avoid exposing yourself to known sources of infection nasonex and sleeplessness. Stay away frompeople with chicken pox, measles, or any other type of infectious disease nasonex and sleeplessness. Yourimmune system may not be strong enough to fight off an infection while you areusing Nasonex nasal nasonex and sleeplessness.
What is Nasonex nasal?
• Mometasone is a steroid nasonex and sleeplessness. It prevents the release of substances in thebody that cause inflammation nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Nasonex is used nasally to prevent and treat the nasal symptoms of allergiesand other seasonal reactions nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Nasonex nasal may also be used for purposes other than those listed inthis medication guide nasonex and sleeplessness.
Who should not use Nasonex nasal?
• Before using Nasonex nasal, tell your doctor and pharmacist if you havea viral, bacterial, or fungal infection of any kind nasonex and sleeplessness. The absorption of thisdrug into your system can inhibit your body's ability to fight off infections nasonex and sleeplessness. You may not be able to use Nasonex nasal if you have an infection nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Before using Nasonex nasal, tell your doctor if you have
· a nasal septum ulcer,
· recently had nasal surgery, or
· nasal damage nasonex and sleeplessness.
• You may not be able to use Nasonex nasal, or you may require a dosageadjustment or special monitoring during your treatment nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Nasonex nasal is in the FDA pregnancy category C nasonex and sleeplessness. This means that itis not known whether Nasonex nasal will harm an unborn baby nasonex and sleeplessness. Do not use thismedication without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant nasonex and sleeplessness.
• It is unknown whether mometasone passes into breast milk nasonex and sleeplessness. Do not useNasonex nasal without first talking to your doctor if you are breast feedinga baby nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Nasonex nasal is not approved for use by children younger than 3 yearsof age nasonex and sleeplessness.
How should I use Nasonex nasal?
• Use Nasonex nasal spray exactly as directed by your doctor nasonex and sleeplessness. Read theinformation insert included with your medication nasonex and sleeplessness. If you do not understand theseinstructions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Shake the medication well before each dose nasonex and sleeplessness.
• If your nose is congested, try to clear it before using your medicationto be sure that the medicine gets into your nasal passages nasonex and sleeplessness. If you are alsousing a decongestant spray, use it to open up your nasal passages before usingNasonex nasal nasonex and sleeplessness. However, do not use a decongestant spray unless your doctor approves nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Remove the plastic dust cap from the nasal applicator nasonex and sleeplessness. Prior to initialuse of Nasonex nasal spray, the pump must be primed by spraying ten times oruntil a fine spray appears nasonex and sleeplessness. The pump may be stored unused for up to 1 week withoutrepriming nasonex and sleeplessness. If unused for more than one week, reprime by pumping two times, oruntil a fine spray appears nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Close one nostril and tilt your head slightly forward nasonex and sleeplessness. Insert the tipof the nasal applicator about 1 cm (one-half inch) into your nostril, pointingit straight up into the nasal canal nasonex and sleeplessness. Press firmly downward once on the shouldersof the applicator, using your forefinger and middle finger while supportingthe base of the bottle with your thumb nasonex and sleeplessness. Breathe gently inward through the nostrilas you pump nasonex and sleeplessness. Then breathe out through the mouth nasonex and sleeplessness. Repeat this process for thenumber of sprays prescribed by your doctor nasonex and sleeplessness. Remove the pump from your nose nasonex and sleeplessness. Repeat this procedure in the other nostril then replace the dust cap nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Do not use more of this medication than prescribed for you nasonex and sleeplessness. Never usemore than 2 sprays in each nostril (200 mcg total) per day nasonex and sleeplessness. It may take a fewweeks to see the effects of Nasonex nasal nasonex and sleeplessness. Talk to your doctor if your symptomsdo not improve or if they get worse nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Do not spray Nasonex nasal into the eyes nasonex and sleeplessness.
• To clean the applicator, remove the plastic dust cap and pull gentlyon the nasal applicator so that it comes free nasonex and sleeplessness. Wash the applicator and dustcap with cold water nasonex and sleeplessness. Dry and replace the applicator and dust cap nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Store Nasonex nasal at room temperature away from moisture and heat nasonex and sleeplessness. Avoid prolonged exposure of the product to direct light when Nasonex nasal isremoved from its cardboard container nasonex and sleeplessness.
What happens if I miss a dose?
• Use the missed dose as soon as you remember nasonex and sleeplessness. However, if it is almosttime for your next regularly scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and use thenext one as directed nasonex and sleeplessness. Do not use a double dose of this medication nasonex and sleeplessness.
What happens if I overdose?
• An overdose of this medication is not likely to occur nasonex and sleeplessness. If you do thinkthat an overdose has occurred, call an emergency room or poison control centernasonex and sleeplessness.
What should I avoid while using Nasonex nasal?
• Avoid items or activities that you know are allergens for you if theymake your symptoms worse nasonex and sleeplessness. Clean areas where dust or pet fur may aggravate yourcondition nasonex and sleeplessness.

What are the possible side effects of Nasonex nasal?
• Serious side effects from Nasonex nasal are not likely to occur nasonex and sleeplessness. Stopusing Nasonex nasal and seek emergency medical attention if you experience anallergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling ofyour lips, tongue, or face; or hives) nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur nasonex and sleeplessness. Continueto use Nasonex nasal and talk to your doctor if you experience
· headache;
· viral infection;
· sore throat;
· bleeding nose;
· coughing;
· upper respiratory tract infection;
· painful menstruation;
· muscle pain; or
· stinging or burning of the nose nasonex and sleeplessness.
• Side effects other than those listed here may also occur nasonex and sleeplessness. Talk to yourdoctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome nasonex and sleeplessness.
What other drugs will affect Nasonex nasal?
• Before using this medication, tell your doctor and pharmacist about anyother drugs you are taking nasonex and sleeplessness. The use of other oral or inhaled steroids may increaseyour chance of side effects or overdose nasonex and sleeplessness.
